New York Premises Liability Law Firm Launches Scholarship Competition for College Students Interested in Law School

    NEW YORK, NY, March 14, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Respected premises liability law firm David Resnick & Associates, P.C., concentrating on New York slip and falls, announced today that the firm is sponsoring a scholarship contest for college students who are interested in going to law school.

The firm will award a total of $2,000 in college scholarships - $1,500 to the first-place winner and $500 to the runner-up - to the students who submit the best articles on the critical topic of business owners' responsibilities for keeping customers safe while on their premises.

"Our firm is committed to helping young people pursue their educational goals, and we are just as passionate about protecting the public from unsafe conditions at places of business in New York," said attorney David Resnick, founder of the firm. "This scholarship competition gives us the opportunity to further both of those objectives."

This year marks the first time David Resnick & Associates, P.C., has sponsored the scholarship program. It is open to students from across the country who are pursuing a two- or four-year college and want to attend law school.

Applicants must write a 500-word essay on this topic: "The responsibilities that business owners have to keep customers safe while they are on the business' premises from a legal perspective." The firm is looking for essays that are original, well-supported and of serious nature. Judges will evaluate the essays based on accuracy, grammar, style and originality. Based on those criteria, the judges will select a first-place winner of a $1,500 scholarship and a runner-up winner of a $500 scholarship.
