Canter Law Releases Infographic on South Florida Car Accident Statistics

    BOCA RATON, FL, March 15, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- With more than 315,000 car accidents in Florida last year, the personal injury firm of Canter Law decided to take a look at the impact of these crashes on the community and provide information to help reduce the number of collisions. The law firm's Car Accidents in South Florida infographic is now available for free online.

"As a personal injury attorney, I represent many clients who have been seriously hurt in car accidents, not to mention the families of those who tragically die from their injuries," said Eric Canter, founder and principle attorney at Canter Law. "I know the toll car accidents have on our community, which is why I wanted to create digestible content that helps people understand how widespread this problem is and what they can do to avoid becoming a statistic."

The infographic created by the firm shows that in 2015 there were more than 140,000 accidents involving injuries in Florida - almost 9 percent of the national total of 1.6 million crashes with injuries. More than 2,200 Florida car accidents resulted in fatalities.

In addition to data for Florida and the United States as a whole, the infographic also provides statistics for three major South Florida communities: Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale and Boynton Beach. Numbers are presented in seven categories:

- Fatal crashes
- Crashes with injuries
- Pedestrian crashes
- Pedestrian fatalities
- Bicycle crashes
- Bicycle fatalities

To help reduce the number of crashes involving cars, bicycles and pedestrians, the infographic includes a section describing steps drivers can take to avoid accidents. In the event of a collision, the infographic also discusses how an attorney can offer assistance to accident victims.
