TOBYHANNA, PA, March 31, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- CarolLee Kidd, President of CLK Transcription, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. CarolLee Kidd will be featured in the upcoming 2016 Spring Edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine.
Forming her own transcription company in 2001 after witnessing how larger companies were treating their contractors and clients, CarolLee Kidd wanted to make a difference in the business world. Located in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, CLK Transcription, Inc. offers transcription services for clients in need of her services. In addition to transcribing audio to text, Kidd oversees every aspect of the business, such as billing and invoicing, accepting, assigning and tracking project files from start to finish, and, most importantly, reaching out to clients to be sure that that the services being provided are most appropriate for their needs.
"What I do isn't just about typing words on a page with speed and accuracy," Kidd noted. "I serve a direct purpose for clients and I enjoy knowing that others depend on my doing my job in order for them to do theirs."
Kidd hires independent contractors to work as part of her team, all of which work out of home. They include everyone from single mothers and stay-at-home-moms to handicapped persons and military spouses and veterans. Helping them grow into great transcribers is a wonderful feeling for Kidd, especially those who are just starting out. Making sure that her entire team helps one another and works together to gain success is a huge priority at CLK Transcription, Inc. Kidd also works with several schools across the country that offer transcription certificates, taking on their graduates to offer them the experience they need to move forward in their careers.
"Most transcription schools do not prepare you for the real world," she added.
CLK Transcription, Inc. specializes in developing text from audio/video files. They handle audio files for clients that have information they need documented, including that of journalists, large and small corporations, those with an entrepreneurial need for transcripts, as well as students and laypersons.
As a widow and now single mother of two adult children, ages 32 and 24, Kidd tries to get involved with her local community as much as possible and enjoys doing 'paying it forward' acts of kindness, as well as volunteering for her community, and donating to charities dear to her heart. She is a member of the Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce and International Women's Leadership Association. She is also a VIP member and 2015-16 Woman of the Year of National Association of Professional Women. In her down time, Kidd likes to decompress by listening to music, sleeping in on the weekends, or pampering herself once in a while at the salon.
