Rick A. Esposito, MD Named Professional of the Year in Cardiothoracic Surgery

Esposito, Doctor of Medicine for the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery at North Shore University Hospital, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Esposito has 36 years of professional experience, with 13 years of experience as a doctor of North Shore University Hospital. Throughout his career, he has set himself apart through his skill in cardiac surgical procedures, cardiopulmonary bypass, coronary artery bypass, heart valve prosthesis, minimally-invasive surgical procedures and mitral valve insufficiency. On a daily basis, he serves as the vice chairman of cardiovascular and thoracic surgery at the hospital. He attributes his success to his dedication, continued education and training. He became involved in his profession because he was always interested in the medical field.

Dr. Esposito completed a fellowship at NYU School of Medicine and a residency at NYU School of Medicine, having received an MD from The University of Chicago in 1979. He is a member of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, The American Board of Thoracic Surgery, the American College of Surgeons, the New York Society For Thoracic Surgery and The Society of Thoracic Surgeons. In recognition of his hard work and dedication, Dr. Esposito was named as one of the Top Doctors in the New York Metro Area by Castle Connolly from 2011-2015, and he is one of the Top 10 Doctors by Metro Area, as ranked by Vitals.
