Carolyn Purvis Named Professional of the Year in Management Consulting

    PARIS, TN, March 30, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carolyn Purvis, Sole Proprietor of CP Quality Consulting, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Management Consulting. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Ms. Purvis has 26 years of professional experience, with 12 years of experience as the sole proprietor of CP Quality Consulting. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart through her ability to build quality management systems. Since Ms. Purvis started her own company more than 10 years ago, her business and the requests for her services have been constant. She does consulting, auditing, and certification audits for IMSM, Ltd. with an international main office in Great Britain.

Looking back, Ms. Purvis attributes her success to her ability to take chaos and make organization. She became involved in her profession because of her prior experiences working for a manufacturing plant. All of the plants had to be registered by a certain date. She liked the process and eventually became the director of the quality system in that plant. From there, she progressed into starting her own business. She explained, "My business began after I resigned my position as the quality director for a printing plant that was based in middle Tennessee. My husband wanted to move back to Paris, Tennessee, to be closer to our granddaughter and my elderly mother. We made the move and about a month later a previous boss called and asked if I would like to do some audits with him. We would both be getting credit for audits completed, so we would be certified as ISO 9001 auditors. This was the first step for our business."

"We began a partnership after receiving our certificates and it still exists to this day. He is the one that is tasked with finding our client. I then consult, perform internal audits, and any pre-assessments. He will do the registration audit and the result is a happy and satisfied client."

"I sometimes continue to perform their internal audits and my partner performs their yearly surveillance audits. The most frequently implemented Quality Management System for most of our clients will be a ISO 9001-2008. A few companies have blended system. This is when a Quality Management System is combined together with an ISO 14000 environmental system. These two systems will then work as one system." The highlight of Ms. Purvis' career was when her first manufacturing facility was certified and registered through the Registration Accreditation Board in the U.S. In years to come, Ms. Purvis would like to increase her clientèle base.
