Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Magnolia Dela Cruz as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    WOODSIDE, NY, March 31, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Magnolia Dela Cruz, Community Support Professional, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Magnolia Dela Cruz will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Entering into her new career in her late 40's, Magnolia Dela Cruz was determined to succeed. Allowing her motivation to take charge, it empowered her to prove her abilities in the field of counseling, one client at a time, by helping them overcome their individual needs and obstacles.

"By expressing to clients that there is hope, we all have it in us to progress forward," Cruz said. "We just have to have an open mind to learn that, no matter how hard it gets, we can pull through, walk with our chins up, and move forward in life."

Serving as an independent Community Support Professional, Cruz works to empower women to become leaders and succeed in their own professions. She offers clients the much needed support to succeed and excel in their profession and to help them to continue to grow as human beings, proving their abilities.

Cruz previously interned a School Counselor intern for William Cullen Bryant High School where she had a caseload of nine students. She worked as a Teacher's Aide for that same school, assisting the mathematics department and helping students that were lacking the skills to progress. She spent time as a Mentor for Fordham University's Latina Girls Club, where she earned the opportunity to empower them to stay focused in their academics by using specific counseling techniques that improved their behavior.

A graduate of Touro College with a BS in Human Services, Cruz also completed the New York State mandated, two-hour, Substance and Alcohol Abuse course during their spring 2010 seminar. She also completed their Domestic Violence seminar and Child Abuse and Maltreatment seminar that same spring.
