Mr. Spero has 43 years of professional experience, with 22 years as a principal and attorney of The Law Offices of S.J. Spero and Associates, P.C. Throughout his career, he has established himself as a knowledgeable professional in the representation of victims of sexual exploitation by professionals such as doctors, therapists and clergy. In his practice, Mr. Spero works to protect of victims of professional misconduct and clergy abuse nationwide. Each day, he is responsible for litigating on behalf of his clients and practicing in his areas of greatest strength. Mr. Spero handles cases involving all types of professionals including psychotherapists, psychologists and psychiatrists, hypnotherapists, social workers, pastors and clergy members, doctors and lawyers.

Looking back, Mr. Spero became involved in his profession because his family members were immigrants and they came to the United States and could not find the legal help that they needed. This led to his concern and interest in civil rights and a desire to help people.

Mr. Spero received a JD from Boston College Law School in 1972, having earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Boston University in 1968. In addition to his degrees, he is certified in legal specialties, as well as civil mediation. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with the Massachusetts Bar Association, AdvocateWeb, the American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association. In 2015, he earned the distinction of AV Preeminent Attorney through Martindale-Hubbell. In the next five years, Mr. Spero would like to continue to be recognized for the work he does and for the people he helps. He would also like to continue supporting his current role helping people, travel less and serve in a consulting role.
