Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Ann Reichardt as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    MIDDLETON, WI, March 31, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ann Reichardt, Literary Author, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Ann Reichardt was recently featured in the Fall 2015 edition of Women of Distinction Magazine.

Thirty-five years after working in the healthcare arena as a registered nurse, Ann Reichardt finally decided she was ready to put down her stethoscope and spread her wings. Although she thoroughly enjoyed her career, she was ready to do something different, something that would allow her to explore her creative side. And while she considered herself a novice in the literary world, she didn't let it stop her from writing her first book. Honing her skills by doing a lot of research online and by connecting with complete strangers who could offer their expertise, she finally sat down and began to write.

"My book seeks to inspire others to break barriers in relationships," Reichardt said, who wrote a book about relationships, romance, and life after divorce. "Sometimes, we are afraid to allow ourselves to find someone because we are afraid of getting hurt. After my 30-year marriage ended, I was devastated and thrown into the 'single world' again. But I was not alone."

Reichardt's book, 'The Dance Card: Looking for Love after Divorce', speaks to the human psyche regarding relationships. It is the story about midlife self-discovery after the dissolution of a long-term marriage. Offering insight and intrigue, she questions the notion of finding love after 'weaving through this new dance floor of love' and goes in depth about online dating.

"Online dating maximizes our efforts in finding someone appropriate to be with," Reichardt said. "It allows women, especially, to be much more selective and free to make the first move. In the middle age, we are more open and less sexually repressed."

A former educator of the arts, Reichardt is no stranger to book publishing. In fact, some of her artwork, including paintings and graphic prints, can be found in several children's books, as well as her poetry.

The divorced mother of two has experienced an overwhelming response to her book. She has been featured on KAZT Phoenix with Paul Williams, The Maggie Linton Show, Great Day Houston on KHOU, WJTN Radio in Jamestown - The Jim Roselle Show, KMOV St. Louis, and WTVR - Virginia This Morning, to name a few.
