Local Author to Host Launch Party for Release of Brave Rave Book Series

    ST. LOUIS, MO, April 01, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- An all-new, empowering youth book series called Brave Rave, written by local author Raquel Hunter, has recently been published. The first book in the series, which was created to provide laughs for young readers and their families along with guidance for various familiar and uncomfortable situations surrounding bullying, gender respect, honesty, character, and more, is available now and can be found via Amazon and in local bookstores.

To celebrate the launch of the series' first book, a launch party will be held Sat., May 21 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the City Museum on the 2nd floor in the Vault Room. This party is geared toward children ages 7 to 12, who must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older. Educators, parents, and social workers are also invited to this event as this book serves as a reference for dialogue in therapeutic and educational forums. In addition, the author will be appearing at various local elementary schools to provide engaging book reads of Brave Rave.

Attendees will learn about the book series' main character, Brave Rave, and her friends as they learn to "be brave and rave on." Book purchase opportunities will be available along with signed copies from the author. The entertainment will consist of a magic show, hourly book readings, activity book coloring, glitter tattoos, face painting and balloon sculpting, giveaway opportunities, and donations to impact St. Louis non-profit youth base agencies. Refreshments will also be provided.

The event is free to all City Museum patrons; otherwise, admission is by invitation only.
