About Nedra VandenDriesen:
As a consultant anaesthetist, Dr. VandenDreisen has a dual appointment with the hospital, and she is responsible for tracking mortality rates due to issues concerning anaesthetics. Furthermore, she works with patients with a number of medical issues. Additionally, she mentors and trains intensive care physicians and staff members, while teaching Part I Anaesthetics. She works two days each week in the theater, where trauma patients are brought in by helicopter.

Dr. VandenDreisen received a doctoral degree in anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine from The Royal College of Anaesthetists in 1994 and a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in Epidemiology, Tropical Medicine and Infectious Diseases from the London School of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene in 1990. She also holds a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery in Medicine, earned from the University of Western Australia in 1986. She is a fellow of the Australia New Zealand College of Anaesthetics and The Royal College of Anaesthetists.
