ATLANTA, GA, April 08, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Some boots may be made for walking, but guests will want to use them to run into Krystal this season! Available now through May 1st, Krystal is hosting a country-music concert sweepstakes featuring singer/songwriter Jimmy Wayne. The contest is all a part of the brand's new Country-Fried menu, available through the spring at participating locations. The two limited-time offers are Krystal restaurants' way of sharing Southern hospitality on a national stage.
"Nothing says Southern like country-fried food and great country music," said Heather Schlesinger, Director of Calendar Programs and Promotions for Krystal. "We take deep pride in our Southern heritage and are so pleased to offer these new Krystal items and to partner with Jimmy Wayne and Coca-Cola for an unforgettable event."
With the launch of this Country Fried Favorites contest, guests and fans can get into the act with a school-based challenge that offers a grand prize of a live concert on the school campus performed by country music star Jimmy Wayne. Known for his tireless work and dedication to foster children's platforms and education, Mr. Wayne has dedicated countless hours to spotlighting the life-changing dedication of teachers and honoring his own 6th grade teacher, Crystal Friday. The winning school will also receive a substantial donation of school supplies from The Krystal Company. The Krystal Cruiser is also planned to be on hand to cater the concert event, based on availability.
"Country is about community, first and foremost," notes Jimmy Wayne. "Krystal giving back to schools and honoring teachers shows how much they care about the places they choose to do business."
Designed for students, parents, teachers, administrators, and school support staff, the contest will be a creativity challenge in which schools and kids will build origami-style sculptures or art pieces using the iconic square Krystal boxes. Finished creations must be photographed and submitted to [email protected] by May 1st. Full Registration and entry details can be found at http://www.krystal.com/jimmywayne . Entries will be judged and a winning school announced by mid-May. The registration site also features a special "Crystal Friday" certificate that students can give to their own teachers that have inspired them, while treating their extraordinary teacher to a breakfast special coupon at Krystal.
