Kelly & Soto Law Focuses on Raising Awareness of Drunk Driving through College Scholarship Essay Contest

Kelly & Soto Law recognizes that drunk driving remains a serious safety issue in Boston and across Massachusetts. Our personal injury attorneys see firsthand the preventable harm that drunk drivers cause Massachusetts families through dangerously irresponsible decisions to drink and get behind the wheel.

Young people in Massachusetts ages 21 to 34 have the highest rates of fatal accidents involving drunk driving, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Kelly & Soto Law wants to reduce the number of alcohol-related accidents by making young people more aware of the serious consequences of a poor decision to drink and drive.

Kelly & Soto Law will provide scholarship grants of $1,000 for the first place winner of the essay contest, $300 for second place and $200 for third place.

To apply for the scholarship, applicants should write a persuasive 500-word essay discussing the dangers of drunk driving in Massachusetts and what they would do if a friend has had too much to drink and wants to drive home. What are the consequences of drunk driving?
