Andrea Marie Hampton, CHRL, Honored for Excellence in Business Development and Sales

Ms. Hampton brings 20 years of professional experience to her role as the director of business development and sales of Molnlycke Health Care. As a part of the executive team, she is regularly responsible for heading up human resources and reporting to the CEO in Canada.

Ms. Hampton has been in leadership positions over the past 15 years, primarily in financial services, but she has recently taken the opportunity to learn about a new industry and utilize more current skills and experience. She has sat on the board for the local hospital, and she has been a regular guest speaker for industry panels on subjects related to sales and marketing in the insurance industry, as well as panels and volunteer work for her human resources professional background. A lifelong leaner, Ms. Hampton continues to pursue certifications toward her professional development.

As a flexible professional, Ms. Hampton always strives to take on different roles. She brings a lot to the table, because she has a unique combination of skills and diversified background, which includes sales, marketing and human resources. When she studied micro economics in college, it seemed simple to apply that knowledge to see a balance in the workplace. "Everything that I have done had led to this point," she says.

Ms. Hampton received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toronto in 1984 with studies in Economics and Political Science and a diploma in Industrial Relations and Human Resources. In addition to her educational qualifications, she is a certified human resources professional and a licensed life insurance agent. She is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association and the Advocis Association. In years to come, she plans to remain with the company, though she is open to the possibility of working in another country.
