LOS ANGELES, CA, April 30, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU) in Daytona Beach, Florida has launched HBCU Records, a new student-run record label. Formed in 2015 by the Mike Curb Music Business, Entertainment & Sports Institute (Curb Institute), which was endowed by Mike Curb, the legendary record company mogul (Curb Records), politician (former Governor of California) and NASCAR owner (Curb Motorsports/Racing), HBCU Records is prepping for its new music releases.
The first acts signed to the label's roster: L. Paul Jackson Jr. and DJ DGlove will debut music from their projects in May 2016. Starting with DJ DGlove's track, "Good Time" featuring Curb Records artist Larry Gordon and L. Paul Jackson Jr.'s, "Champion," HBCU Records has reinvigorated the focus on artist development with the launch of these two artists. "Good Time" and "Champion" will premiere on HBCU Records' official YouTube and VEVO channels.

HBCU Records provides students with the day-to-day experience of running a record label and also teaches aspiring entertainment industry professionals the fundamentals of the music business.
