DENVER, CO, May 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Family Promise of Greater Denver is excited to announce its first Race to End Homelessness! The Bed Race will gather teams of colleagues, family members, friends and others to build mock beds that can be raced down a city street.
Each bed symbolizes the emergency shelter we provide to families experiencing homelessness, and all proceeds will benefit our mission.
"We've served more than 1,100 families since we began, but homelessness affects all of us, and it will take the full community to reach a long-term solution," said Allie Card, executive director of Family Promise. "This is an exciting opportunity to come together for a day of family fun to help our neighbors in need."
The race will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, in Stapleton's Conservatory Green Park and Plaza. Visit FamilyPromiseOfGreaterDenver.org to start or join a team, volunteer, and support the event in other ways!
