Jason Haffizulla, MD, Honored for Excellence in Internal Medicine

Dr. Haffizulla has 12 years of experience as a physician of Medical Associates of Tamarac, P.A. As a practitioner of internal medicine, he prides himself on providing excellent patient care, and he frequently visits his patients in hospitals and nursing homes. He is also responsible for handling clinical research studies.

Dr. Haffizulla finds what he does to be very rewarding. His wife is also a doctor; they met in school and have been married for 18 years. Dr. Haffizulla was initially exposed to medicine because of his father, who is a family medicine doctor with a private practice. Although Dr. Haffizulla grew up around medicine, he did not always intend on following in his father's footsteps; when he first attended college, he was pursuing a different career path. However, he has always had an interest in biology and, more specifically, the human body and human biology. Upon realizing that medicine was the right fit for him, Dr. Haffizulla finished college in three years and applied to medical school. He joined his father's private practice in 2003.

Dr. Haffizulla completed a residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Hospital in 2003, having received an MD from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in 2000. He maintains affiliation with the Board of Trustees of University Hospital, as well as the American Medical Association and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has received numerous awards and accolades, including a recognition for serving the community for more than 10 years, presented by Vitals. In 2013, he was voted as number one among the Neighborhood Top 10 Internists. In the coming years, Dr. Haffizulla intends to continue what he is doing.
