As a food safety professional, Ms. Fulton's greatest strengths are being able to bridge the gap between government and the food industry. Though she greatly enjoys her work, she does feel that the field is not without its flaws. Ms. Fulton has been in the industry for 34 years. She spent 17 years working with the federal government and has had her business for 17 years. She designs food plants, trains, audits, develops food safety and quality management programs for the food and beverage industry, and provides maintenance services to assist companies with the on-going maintenance of their food safety and quality management systems. She started her career as an employee of the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and then decided to start her own consulting business since she wanted to contribute positively to assist companies to continue to produce safe and complaint food products. Her company is a Registered Training Center with the British Retail Consortium (BRC) (UK). In addition, she is qualified, along with 4 of her employees as Approved Training Partners (ATP's) with the BRC. This qualification allows her to deliver training in all aspects of the Global Food Safety Standards, including 3rd Party Auditing.
