About Ellary Ann Blair:
Ms. Blair runs a pottery studio where she creates one-of-a-kind artistic vases, bowls, tiles, plates and bottles using crystalline and raku pottery. Her technique is unique and was developed while she was in school using crystalline, zinc-silica combination glazes. She displays her pieces at The Phoenix Gallery in Lawrence, Kansas and Abbey Lane Gallery in Creede, Colorado. She previously worked in landscape nurseries for 30 years. She does commission work and her work is available online.

In November 2015, she went to Australia to work with master potter Ted Secombe, learning matte crystalline glazes. In February of 2016, she went to Albons, in Catalonia, Spain, to study under master crystalline artist Jose Mariscal. In June 2016, she travelled to São Paulo, Brazil, to teach a 7-day crystalline workshop. These experiences enrich her abilities to create beautiful pieces of pottery and pass on that information and experience.

A graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design, Ms. Blair is also a skilled pastel and watercolor artist. She maintains membership with the National Education of the Ceramic Art (NECEA) and The American Ceramic Society. She is a former member of the Local Artists and Potters Guild, Strathmore Who's Who and The Potters Council. Ms Blair was a selected artist of the National Council on the Ceramic Arts Orton Cone Box Show in 2012, and she was featured as an upcoming new artist by the Lattice Structures Symposium in Kansas City, MO in 2005.
