Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Francesca Federico as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    BOSTON, MA, May 21, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Francesca Federico, Co-Founder and Principal, of Twelve Points Wealth Management and Twelve Points Retirement Advisors, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Francesca Federico will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Known as one of the youngest women co-founders of a wealth management RIA in Boston, Massachusetts, Federico wears many hats. Specializing in the wealth and retirement side of the business, Federico first became interested in this area of specialty as a kid.

"When I was young, I worked at Mass Motors helping my father with his benefits and his employees," Federico recalled, "with 401(k) being one of them. I realized how much I enjoyed listening and learning about people and what they wanted to do when they retire, so I began doing research and giving advice as to how they should allocate their funds. I was lucky to find my true passion at such a young age."

Spending most of her time working with companies on their corporate retirement plans, such as 401(k) plans, defined benefits plans, and non-qualified plans, Federico specifically helps them manage the process around administering it, selecting the investment options, and acting as a fiduciary on their behalf.

"My favorite aspect of working with companies is getting to meet all of the participants," she noted. "I love to meet them one-on-one and learn more about them. It isn't always strictly about financial issues either; I help them in any way the need, whether it's the stress of going through a divorce, the repayment of student loans, saving for college, or even purchasing a home. I want them to have someone who will listen and help them find a way to solve their problem."

Federico also works with individual clients with their financial planning, everyone from the senior business executive to the millennial. Tending to have different needs, Federico enjoys growing with them and being their go-to person when they need it the most.

Graduating from Fairfield University with a BS in Finance, Federico was then accepted into the Morgan Stanley Financial Advisor Training Program. Of the 300 advisors that were accepted, she was the youngest of just 15 people to complete the program. Federico was also named as a Top 40 Under 40 Advisor in 2014, and her successes have landed her a spot as a Regular Contributor in the Entrepreneur Insider Network for Forbes.com. She has also been quoted in many other noteworthy publication, including CFO magazine, US News and World Report, The New York Times, and Divorcemoms.com. Currently, Federico is one of the youngest, if not the youngest, advisors in Massachusetts who focuses and advises on corporate retirement plans.

Currently serving as Director of Membership for Tomorrow's Women TODAY - The Boston Women's Leadership Council, the non-profit organization brings together women who have been identified as leaders in both public and private sectors. She also sits on the Corporate Council of The Hope Lodge Key Gala in Boston and on alumni committees for her high school, Notre Dame Academy, and her Alma Mater, Fairfield University. Federico is in the process of forming a non-profit organization in memory of her cousin, Marisa, who lost her battle with breast cancer in April 2016 at the age of 37.
