SEATTLE, WA, May 24, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Glosten, a Seattle-based naval architecture and marine engineering consultancy, announces the promotion of Bradley G. Lamkin, PE to Senior Marine Consultant. As a Senior Marine Consultant and member of the Principals' Group, Lamkin will continue to lead Glosten's marine construction efforts.
Lamkin is a graduate of Calvin College (BSE, Mechanical Engineering, 1994), and earned his Master's degree from the University of Michigan (MSE, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, 1996).
In his 20 years at Glosten, Lamkin has been instrumental in developing Glosten's marine construction capability. He specializes in resolving stability issues for a wide variety of vessels including barges, hopper dredges, passenger vessels, and tugboats. Most notably, following the original structure's tragic rush-hour collapse, Lamkin served as Glosten Project Manager to support the Flatiron Manson Joint Venture that built the Minnesota I-35 replacement bridge. Fast mobilization and creative engineering allowed the team to reopen the bridge three months ahead of schedule.
Lamkin's approach to client service sets the standard for the firm as a whole. "On the waterfront, it's often about performing timely engineering that's cost efficient, but it's also about personal relationships - we're as much colleagues as we are consultants," says Lamkin. Glosten President John Springer admires Lamkin's leadership of Glosten's marine construction support efforts. "Brad is very effective in developing and maintaining healthy client relationships. His work with clients and with the team here has expanded and solidified our presence in the marine construction community. His promotion to Senior Marine Consultant acknowledges the strong leadership he's demonstrated throughout his career."
