DOUGLASVILLE, GA, May 27, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Miller & Hightower, P.C., Attorneys at Law will be changing the firm's name with the departure of partner Dustin Hightower. Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal recently appointed Hightower to serve as the Superior Court judge in Coweta Judicial Circuit Court. Attorney Chris Wynn has been named as a partner and the firm will be renamed Miller & Wynn, P.C., Attorney at Law beginning May 26, 2016.
"Being named a judge is a wonderful honor that I could not turn down; however, that doesn't mean it was an easy decision to walk away from a tremendous attorney, and an even better friend, Mike Miller," said Hightower. "I wish Mike and Chris the best as they continue to carry the torch in defending the good people of West Georgia."
Wynn, who was born and raised in Douglasville, has served as Assistant County Attorney, Assistant Board of Education Attorney and former State Prosecutor, in addition to practicing law at Sherrod & Bernard and at his own firm. His area's focus is criminal defense, family law, civil litigation and juvenile and school tribunals.
"It's obviously a great honor for Dusty and I believe it says a lot about our law firm that he was selected to become a judge," said Miller. "At the new Miller & Wynn, we look forward to continuing to serve the community."
