The Washington Association of Wheat Growers Welcomes Chandler Goule as the New National Association of Wheat Growers CEO

    RITZVILLE, WA, May 27, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Washington Association of Wheat Growers (WAWG) is proud to welcome Chandler Goule as the new chief executive officer of the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG).

"There are many issues facing the national wheat industry, not the least of which is the upcoming battle for the 2018 Farm Bill," said Kevin Klein, president of the Washington Association of Wheat Growers. "We feel confident that with the selection of Chandler Goule as CEO, the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) is positioning itself to be a leader in the wheat industry when it comes to advocating for growers and protecting their livelihoods. The Washington state wheat organizations look forward to working with Chandler."

Most recently, Goule served as senior vice president of programs at the National Farmers Union where he was heavily involved in farm bill legislation. He has also served as subcommittee staff director for the House Agriculture Committee. In addition to his CEO duties, he will also serve as the executive director of the National Wheat Foundation. WAWG Natural Resources Chair and former WAWG President Nicole Berg served on the NAWG CEO selection committee.

Education and outreach are the heart of Washington Association of Wheat Growers activity, all of which is aimed at helping Washington wheat families. Since 1954, WAWG has been dedicated to the enrichment of the Washington wheat industry as a nonprofit trade association, which depends on volunteers, membership dues and donations to carry out activities as representatives on the state and national levels. WAWG monitors state, transportation, research and natural resources policy and partners with the National Association of Wheat Growers to monitor national farm policy.
