Local Mortgage Professional Awards Scholarship

    BOSTON, MA, June 02, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rick Scherer, Hopkinton resident, vice president and senior mortgage planner at MSA Mortgage based out of Framingham, MA is awarding two scholarships to deserving graduating seniors of Hopkinton High School.

The winners of these scholarships are looking to pursue a career in finance. Rick Scherer, a Hopkinton resident, majored in finance and marketing at Bentley University before beginning his career. He believes that finance is vital to any business -- whether it be a Fortune 500 company or a small startup. In addition, giving back to the community is part of Mr. Scherer's personal commitment to encourage the success of others. As a finance professional, Mr. Scherer says, "It is through the efforts and dedication of hard-working, passionate young people that this field will continue to grow and evolve. Supporting them during the beginnings of their education will allow them the reinforcement to continue in their pursuit of a finance degree, which ultimately helps the industry as a whole."

Each recipient will be rewarded with a $500 scholarship and the award ceremony will take place at 7 pm on June 1st at Hopkinton High School.
