SHAWNEE, KS, June 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lynne Wilson, Chief Executive Officer of TriPointe Consulting, LLC, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Lynne Wilson will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.
Fulfilling a dream of hers to open her own firm, Lynne Wilson founded TriPointe Consulting, LLC in October 2013 in Shawnee, Kansas, a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri. A management and information technology firm that brings customized Big Four methodologies and practices to deliver solutions to clients to assist them in meeting their business objectives in an ever changing landscape, Wilson serves as Founder and CEO. Responsible for all aspects of the business, including marketing, business development, sales, contract negotiations, engagement delivery, client satisfaction, and day-to-day operations of the business, Wilson's business is rapidly gaining speed and a reputation for excellence.
"My career has included approximately 20 years in executive leadership roles with Big Four and international consulting firms, developing strategic and tactical plans, building, motivating, and coaching winning teams, creating innovative solutions to address business challenges, and implementing world class processes and automated solutions for global Fortune 500 clients," Wilson said. "By the time I was in my early 30's I was a partner at one of these Big Four's, leading the largest enterprise resource planning technology and business process practice in the Kansas City office. Having served as partner for various firms and as a corporate executive for so many years, I knew that the next step would be owning and operating my own consulting company."
A natural born leader who is very independent, loves to learn, and continuously strives to advance, it's no wonder that Wilson has been so successful in her career. When she first started out in 1989, she served as an auditor for then Arthur Anderson & Company to fulfill the requirements to become a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). After performing audit services for two years, she was offered the opportunity to work with Anderson Consulting (now Accenture) on a consulting project. Requesting to move into consulting after the project was completed, the partners agreed and she fast tracked to becoming a partner herself.
"I thoroughly enjoy helping businesses solve complex issues, making consulting a perfect fit for me," Wilson added, whose expertise has also included spending seven years as an executive with Fortune 500 companies in information technology, facilities management, and security.
Wilson has a strong executive presence and effectively builds partnerships with business leadership. Having served in various capacities for many professional organizations, including as Chairperson for Anderson Growth and Retention of Women, on the CIO Advisory Board and CIO Magazine's CIO Executive Council, as member and Kansas City Metro Chapter President of National Association of Professional Women, and as member of The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, Delta Sigma Pi Business Fraternity Alumni Chapter, The Central Exchange, and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), she's also worked with more than a dozen charitable organizations in various capacities.
Skipping her senior year of high school where she was named salutatorian to enter into college, Wilson earned her BS in Accounting with Honors from Central Missouri State University (now University of Central Missouri). She honed her information technology skills over 27 years performing consulting engagements and leading information technology organizations. During her tenure in Big Four she was provided the opportunity to teach system design and development, middleware technology development, and perform design and development services for a number of clients.
