Ms. Russell is a graduate and alumni member of Leadership Roswell. She is a founding member, treasurer and bylaws committee chairperson of the Roswell SAFE Coalition, and a founding board member & fundraising chairperson of the United States Tennis Association Southeastern New Mexico, which honored her with the Volunteer of the Year award. Ms. Russell also received the Roswell Chamber of Commerce Outstanding Service Award, and was named the Sunrise Optimist Club's Rookie of the Year. She was a committee member of the All-America City Award for Roswell, a judge for the Altrusa Club of Roswell Letha A. Brown Literacy Awards, and a bond election committee member for Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell. Ms. Russell was a campaign manager for a candidate for the Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Community College Board. She was featured in the Roswell Daily Record's Saturday Spotlight and was the recipient of the Roswell Chamber of Commerce Community Awareness Award. Ms. Russell also received a Leadership Award and a Certificate of Appreciation from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center staff at ILEAR.
