Panitch Schwarze Hires Experienced IP Attorneys in Philadelphia

Wasserman brings to the firm his experience on matters pertaining to a wide range of technologies including computer software, computer hardware, consumer electronics, telecommunications, electronic commerce, network security, semiconductors and medical devices.

Before moving to Philadelphia, Wasserman served as counsel with the District of Columbia office of Mayer Brown LLP, advising clients on patent litigation and licensing matters and proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. He earned a bachelor's degree in physics from Ohio State University and a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He is admitted to practice in California and the District of Columbia. He is not admitted in Pennsylvania.

Ventola's broad range of experience includes counseling clients, obtaining protection, and litigating disputes regarding patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. He is well-versed in a variety of technologies, having prosecuted patents for mail processing equipment, wetlands restoration equipment, manufacturing methods, computer software, furniture, surgical training aids, devices and compounds for automobile repair and maintenance, and mechanical devices including fasteners, support structures for tools, exercise equipment, sports equipment and pet aids.

Starting his legal career in New Orleans and later moving to the Philadelphia area, Ventola comes as counsel to Panitch Schwarze from Philadelphia law firm Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and then a law degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
