SONOMA, CA, June 10, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Edmund L. DuBois, MS, Brigadier General (Retired) of U.S. Army has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military service.
General DuBois accumulated 36 years of experience prior to his retirement as a brigadier general of the U.S. Army. During his active service, he was responsible for overseeing staff assignments with the Pentagon, as well as managing commanding duties with the Army and joint military organizations. General DuBois was stationed in Paris and Germany.
In addition to his military service, General DuBois has written four books: "A Lace Cap and Two Boys," "In the Name of Church," "A Lesser Tale of the South Pacific - Reminiscences of World War II" and "A Concise Theory of Combat." He is the co-author of the latter book.
Looking back, General DuBois attributes his success to his ability to understand the responsibilities associated with his post, as well as his desire to make sensible professional contributions. He became involved in his profession because of the influence of his father and grandfather, who were in the U.S. Army. The highlight of his career was working with senior officers in the U.S. Army.
General DuBois received a master's degree in physical science from The University of Chicago in 1948 and a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois in 1941. Though he has left active service, he maintains affiliation with The Military Conflict Institute. In five years, General DuBois intends to continue working in his current role.
