Jeffrey A. Holmboe, MD Named Professional of the Year in Orthopedic Surgery

    BEND, OR, June 10, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeffrey A. Holmboe, MD, Medical Doctor, Orthopedic Surgeon of The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in Orthopedic Surgery. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Dr. Holmboe has 27 years of professional experience, with 23 years as a medical doctor and orthopedic surgeon of The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research. Each day, he focuses on orthopedic surgery, as well as foot and ankle treatments. He treats a variety of injuries and conditions with advanced surgical procedures and nonsurgical techniques. The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care & Research is a surgical and medical practice that provides diagnosis and treatment of all musculoskeletal conditions, including neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, occupational medicine, physicial medicine and rehabilitation, and sports medicine.

Looking back, Dr. Holmboe became involved in his profession because his father, now retired, was an orthopedic surgeon. He knew since he was in kindergarten that he wanted to follow in his fathers footsteps; he realized that his father cared for people and he wanted to do the same.

Dr. Holmboe completed a fellowship in general surgery from Duke University in 1991, a residency in orthopedic surgery from UCSF Medical Center in 1990, and a residency in orthopedic surgery from the University of California, San Francisco in 1986. He earned an MD from the University of Maryland School of Medicine in 1984 and an undergraduate degree from Yale University. In addition to his degrees, he received a board certification from the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, an organization that also counts him as a member. In recognition of his commitment to his patients, he was presented with a Patients Choice Award and a Most Compassionate Doctor recognition by Vitals in 2014. Looking ahead, Dr. Holmboe will continue to maintain his practice. He hopes to be recognized as a leader in orthopedic trauma and surgery in Central Oregon.
