Ms. Austin has 34 years of professional experience, with 18 years as a freelance writer, as well as a retired writing instructor and educator. She has written several manuscripts and is almost finished with the newest novel in her "Crystal Green" trilogy, "Midnight Amethyst." The book is an adventure romance, easy to read and G rated. She attributes her success to having good friends, good fortune, persistence and a loving God. She became involved in her profession after serving as an ordained pastor since 1970. She took some writing classes in 1990, which led to her zest for learning and the field of education.

Ms. Austin received a Master of Religious Studies from the Lexington Theological Seminary in 1970 and a bachelor's degree in theology and Christian education, with a minor in drama from Northwest Christian College in 1967. She maintains affiliation with the Oklahoma Writers' Federation, Inc., the Romance Writers of America and the W. F. Albright Institute of Archaeological Research. In recognition of her hard work and dedication, she was featured in the Who's Who Publishers Calendar Series in 2013. She was also featured on the cover of Pro-Files Magazine in 2012, and she was honored as a VIP of the Year by Who's Who Publishers in 2011. In years to come, Ms. Austin intends to complete and publish her fantasy novel, as well as grow on a personal and professional level.
