The Fredericton Police Force has initiated this Challenge amongst law enforcement agencies. "We are so excited to be the first municipal police force to participate in the Barefoot Challenge," says Fredericton Police Force Chief Leanne Fitch. "Youth homelessness is such an important focus, and I will gladly challenge other Chiefs across the country to participate in this worthwhile initiative".

Engaging in the Push For Change Barefoot Challenge humanizes the issue of youth homelessness while raising awareness through conversation and funds to support youth in the classroom, through The Upstream Project.

"Not everyone can push a shopping cart across Canada but everyone can raise awareness and support the end of youth homelessness by walking a mile without their shoes, " says Joe Roberts, Founder of the Push for Change.

The Push for Change Foundation is a National charity led by Joe Roberts, a successful businessman who was homeless as a teenager. Joe will push a shopping cart (a symbol of homelessness) across Canada, raising awareness regarding youth homelessness prevention, engaging communities, and raising funds for the Upstream Project.
