Renee Skinner Recognized by Worldwide Branding For Excellence in Project Management

Renee Skinner studied commerce and logistics in university, and after earning a Bachelor of Commerce from Dalhousie University, she was hired by the Iron Ore Company of Canada as part of a graduate development program. Once the development program concluded, Ms. Skinner was fortunate enough to obtain a full time position with the company in the Procurement department. With 15 years of experience, she now serves as the Superintendent of Service Delivery for Rio Tinto Procurement at IOC, where she manages a team of six and an annual spend over $400M. Most recently, Ms. Skinner has lead the RESET Project in an effort to assist the company in reducing their costs. Ms. Skinner is proud that she's been able to fully familiarize herself with all the necessary processes involved in this industry.

A supply chain management professional through the Supply Chain Management Association of Canada, Ms. Skinner is also a certified professional in supply management through the Institute for Supply Management, and holds certification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply. Additionally, she is an honored member of The International Women's Leadership Association, recognized for her contribution to family, career and community. Looking ahead, Ms. Skinner would like to progress into a logistics leadership role in supply chain management, and become more involved on the operational side of the business. She would also like to be remembered for making an impact via leading others and assisting in driving down costs within the company.
