Laurence John Bayzand Recognized by Worldwide Branding For Excellence in Relationship Development

After spending 17 years in telecommunications, Laurence Bayzand realized that he needed a new challenge and decided to return to school. He earned a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia and became a counsellor. Mr. Bayzand also had an interest in research in the area of HIV/AIDS and began working in the nonprofit sector. He later moved to the healthcare field, where he is able to leverage both his business and counselling skills. Currently the Director of Inter Campus Operations for BC Children's Hospital and BC Women's Hospital + Health Centre, Mr. Bayzand applies his skills in relationship development and management.

In his role, Mr. Bayzand directs numerous programs and departments in the hospitals, including the BC family residence program, sterile processing, volunteer resources, and the formula room. He is also charged with ensuring the safety of the site, serving as a key hospital lead for program areas and as a frequent project sponsor for support services, and rolling out a new replenishment system in the hospital. A LEAN leader, Mr. Bayzand is interested in overseeing the development and implementation of positively impacting health care policies from within the public, nonprofit, or private sectors.
