Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Maronda L. Garzone as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    RICHLAND, WA, July 03, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Maronda L. Garzone, CEO of Pasta Mama's, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Maronda L. Garzone will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Building up her home-based business in the health/fitness arena with Visalus Sciences, the Bodybyvi 90 Day Challenge, Maronda L. Garzone was doing so well that she left her full-time job working for Pasta Mama's in 2012. But after tragedy struck in 2013, she found herself having to start all over again.

"I built a wildly successful business with Visalus, was in the top 5% of the company, earned a BMW and trips, and generated a great income," Garzone said. "But in 2013, I went through a divorce and had eight people close to me pass away, including my 2-year-old niece and the original owner of Pasta Mama's."

Going back to her roots, Garzone was taken back on board with Pasta Mama's working in production. Four months later she was asked to take over as Sales/Marketing Director and, within two months, was asked to take over as CEO. Passionate about providing the US and Canada with a product that is non-GMO, natural, and produced with local ingredients that helps the local economy, the company prides themselves on the fact that they create healthy food that takes less than five minutes to prepare and is something the entire family can enjoy.

"Pasta isn't just pasta," Garzone said. "Your product has to have a unique quality, and Pasta Mama's does. Working for them challenges me to show up as my best self every day and I am so glad to be a part of their team."

As CEO, Garzone makes all of the major decisions for the company. She has a production manager that reports to her on manufacturing issues and has an office manager that assists with the day to day bookkeeping and human resources aspects of the business. Very hands-on, Garzone is in production some days and answering customer service calls other days. She also oversees customer service, marketing, and the hiring and firing, and is involved with every aspect of the business's success.

Involved in various community efforts, including her local Chamber of Commerce, a women's intuitive empowerment group, and with her local BNI, Garzone also likes to raise awareness for breast cancer and enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending quality time with her two teenage sons.

Born and raised in Massachusetts, in the Little Italy section of her town, Garzone had a difficult childhood. Divorced after 15 years of marriage, her two children are her heart. Relying on love to lead the way, she says that love is always the answer, the cure for many of our troubles in the world we live in today.
