EY Announces Leadership Promotions in Redwood Shores

    REDWOOD CITY, CA, July 11, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ernst & Young LLP recently announced the promotion of Mike Runfola, Sunil Bhat and Mike Stevens in its Redwood Shores office.

Mike Runfola was promoted to partner from senior manager. Runfola joined the Ernst & Young LLP Assurance practice in 2004. He serves companies ranging from private start-ups through the IPO process, to established, publicly-traded global technology brands and is experienced with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) requirements, technical accounting topics and international service coordination. Runfola graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and earned a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Sunil Bhat was promoted to executive director from senior manager. He is a member of the Ernst & Young LLP Advisory practice and serves clients in the insurance industry, focusing on large scale technology transformation programs. Known for his ability to use technology to solve complex business challenges, Bhat's experience includes strategic consulting, enterprise intelligence, PMO Process Design and program management. He has a Bachelor of Technology degree from National Institute of Technology in Hamirpur, India, and an MBA from Duke University.

Mike Stevens was promoted to executive director from senior manager. A member of the Ernst & Young LLP Advisory practice, Stevens joined the firm in May 2011, bringing with him over 20 years of insurance industry experience leading Underwriting Operations, Product Management and IT related initiatives. Stevens focuses on delivering large-scale transformational IT projects, enhanced productivity, streamlined operations, technological initiatives and improved financial performance to the insurance industry. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Managerial Economics from UC Davis. Stevens is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and is Guidewire Configuration Certified (PC 4, 7 and 8).
