LOS ANGELES, CA, July 22, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Expanding its outreach to the corporate donor community, Woodbury University has named development veteran Erik Greeny Vice President, Advancement, the university announced today.
Greeny brings to Woodbury 17+ years of university-level development and strategic leadership experience, with a focus on fundraising, portfolio management and corporate partnerships. As University Development VP at Sonoma State University in Northern California, Greeny coordinated more than $45 million in private philanthropic giving during his four and a half years in that post. He instituted a results-driven major gift program, expanded the university's donor base and initiated Sonoma State's first "Day of Giving" and crowdfunding efforts.
The Vice President, Advancement (VPA), at Woodbury University serves as the Chief Advancement Officer and is responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive institutional fundraising programs. This function includes responsibility for alumni relations, annual fund, major gifts and gift planning, endowment, capital campaigns, stewardship, and community relation efforts. The VPA is a key member of the President's cabinet.

Prior to serving as Development VP at Sonoma State University, Greeny was Associate Vice President, University Development at Sonoma State and Senior Director of Development/University Advancement at San Jose State University. He also served at Stanford University. He holds a B.S. in Social Science from California State University, Chico.
