Dwayne Stewart Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Oil and Gas Exploration

    HOUSTON, TX, July 22, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dwayne Stewart has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in oil and gas exploration.

Mr. Stewart has worked in the upstream oil and gas industry for more than 20 years. As President of newly formed Rock Ridge Exploration & Production, he is leveraging decades of business development and operational experience to build a company focused on combining proven Enhanced Oil Recovery techniques with new technologies. In recognition of his professional excellence, Mr. Stewart was named one of the "Twenty Under 40" finalists for Oil and Gas Investor Magazine in 2013 and two years later, he was a Texas Top Producer finalist for Best CEO of a Medium-Sized Company by Texas Monthly Magazine.

Mr. Stewart graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Louisiana Tech University. After graduating, he joined Exxon (now ExxonMobil) and had the opportunity to work on world-class projects in California, the Gulf of Mexico and Africa. After ExxonMobil, Mr. Stewart joined Netherland, Sewell & Associates, Inc. ("NSAI") where he spent much of his time forecasting reserves and modeling economics; and quite often defended those forecasts in front of engineers, executives, banks and other lending institutions. BreitBurn Energy recruited Mr. Stewart away from NSAI to lead its reserves assessment for their Initial Public Offering. Within two years of joining BreitBurn Energy, Mr. Stewart became the Vice President of its largest operating division. Subsequent to BreitBurn, Mr. Stewart joined Fairways, which is a small, private company focused on rank wildcat exploration. During his tenure as Fairways' President, Mr. Stewart successfully led the company in acquiring over 700 square miles of proprietary 3D seismic that resulted in generating more than 30 prospects. These prospects have a combined unrisked resource potential exceeding 100 million barrels of oil equivalent and are currently awaiting testing. As President of Rock Ridge, Mr. Stewart is working to identify and unlock hidden economic potential by combining proven Enhanced Oil Recovery methods with new technologies.

In addition to spending a tremendous amount of time in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Stewart is actively involved in his community. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and serves as an Advisory Board Member for a nonprofit that drills water wells and provides community development for people living in South Sudan.
