Washington State Rock Band Pledges To Help

    SEATTLE, WA, July 27, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Five startling facts about our world and clean water

The United States suggest that each person needs 5-13 Gallons of water a day.

789 Million 1 in 9 people do not have access to clean water and almost 2.5 billion 1 in 3 do not have access to adequate sanitation.

Approximately 3.5 Million people die each year due to inadequate water supply, sanitation and hygiene.

90 percent of deaths are children under five years old.

Access to sanitation, the practice of good hygiene and safe water save the lives of 1.5 million children a year.

Facts about our state

About one-third of Washington's waters are too polluted to meet state water quality standards.
More than 60 percent of water pollution comes from things like cars leaking oil, fertilizers and pesticides from farms and gardens, failing septic tanks, pet waste and fuel spills from recreational boaters.

What can be done?

Washington state based indie rock band Under The Puddle has took the pledge, have you?
What is the pledge? It is a commitment to the environment, your health and your neighbors' health. The pledge describes ten simple things you can do to make a difference. Do your part by making a personal pledge to protect our waters.

Mitch Clausen the band's leader has taken up the initiative with the band to spread awareness about the local and statewide need to protect our waters. With a further commitment to spread awareness about the need on a world scale for safe drinking water and adequate sanitation to improve the lives of all.

The band will be spreading awareness by handing out free bottles of drinking water in the Snohomish County area and in the city of Seattle. Each bottles label will contain facts and information on safe drinking water and information on how citizens can get involved locally, statewide and beyond, and of course links and information to take the pledge.
