Ms. Elks earned certification from the National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology in 1990, and remains updated in her field through her affiliation with the Dental Lifeline Network of North Carolina, the American Cosmetic Association of Dental Labs, and the National Association of Professional Women. She is also a member of the Nationwide Register's Who's Who in Executives and Businesses and the National Register's Who's Who in Executives and Professionals.
