This celebration will coincide with Jamaica's 54th Independence Day on Saturday, August 6th. Celebrations will take place nationwide, with Golden Krust locations selling 99cent beef patties from 12:00pm to 4:00pm, while supplies last.
National Jamaican Patty Day is celebrated on the 1st Saturday in August, annually. The month of August is significant to Golden Krust for a myriad of reasons. Jamaica celebrates both Emancipation and Independence holiday's in the month of August. Further, Golden Krust first opened its doors for business in August of 1989. Additionally, Mavis Hawthorne, the matriarch of the Hawthorne family, was born in the month of August.
The grand celebration takes place at the flagship store at 1381 E Gunhill Rd., Bronx, NY on Saturday, August 6th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm. Everyone is invited to attend this free fun family festivity. Celebrity appearance by Roc Nation recording artist, Justine Skye, will be one of the day's highlights.
