As a former school teacher, recipient of a Doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University, and current engineer and technology enthusiast, Jessica believes that all students deserve access to quality technology instruction. She currently serves as the founder of Teach Code, a nonprofit education agency that provides education for students in at-risk areas pertaining to video-game programming and computer programming using the Python language. Skilled in test-planning, software testing, and curriculum design, Dr. Ingrassellino develops test scripts for various computer applications, software, APIs, iOS, Android, and internal web applications, and uses shell scripting, SQL and MongoDB to query systems and investigate issues and create system documentation. Jessica conducts speaking engagements on software testing strategy and organizational analysis, and builds architectural structures for quality and software

Dr. Ingrassellino earned a Bachelor of Science in music teacher education from the University of Vermont in 2003 and a Doctor of Education in music teacher education and assessment in 2015. Dr. Ingrassellino has just published her book called, "Python Project for Kids," which was published by Packt Pub and is available at Amazon and Packt. It is a book for children from ages 10 and up to learn the process of coding in python, and is being used as a teaching text for the summer class at Queensborough Community College. She also teaches a Saturday class at this community college and has been an educator in Europe as well.

Named one of the Top Female Executives, Professionals & Entrepreneurs by Worldwide Branding, Dr. Ingrassellino has also worked with the Department of Education this year, where she provided eight weeks of professional development free of cost to teach Python to others. An ASQTB certified quality assurance engineer and social media manager, Dr. Ingrassellino was named an Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars in 2011. She was also given the TC General Scholarship and the Geffen Fellowship in 2008 and 2009, the Elliott Scholarship in 2007 and 2008, the Yandell Scholarship in 2006 and 2007, and numerous other scholarships and fellowships.

Dr. Ingrassellino is also the chair of the PyCon Education Summit, and attributes her successful career to her commitment, education, experience, and community support. She names the highlight of her career to be receiving feedback about the impact that she had on students, colleagues and other individuals who she aimed to help. Looking toward the future, Dr. Ingrassellino expects to experience continued growth in the New York metropolitan areas for Teach Code.
