CHICAGO, IL, August 12, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Liz Mandeville, Grammy-nominated, award-winning artist and president of Blue Kitty Music, is releasing a new, America Roots music album, The Stars Motel. Her music is available from CDBaby.com, Spotify, i-tunes and other digital outlets as well as at Liz's live performances.
Liz Mandeville was born singing and creating music. She picked up the guitar at age 16. The new album, her third for Blue Kitty Music, is a collaborative effort with 5 other artists from the world of blues. A series of gala release parties are planned in the U.S. On September 4, 2016, Buddy Guy's Legends Chicago (700 S Wabash Avenue) will kick it off.
The album, named The Stars Motel, features 6 guitarists, famous in the world of blues. Over the last 3 years, each of them stayed in Liz's recording studio, co-writing music for this project. They are: Guitarist for the late Phil Guy, Dario Lombardo (Turin, Italy), Blues Blast Award Nominee, Rochelle Coba (Miami), Scott Ellison (Tulsa) and Billy Branch alum, Minoru Maruyama (Japan). Doug Deming (Tampa) has also contributed a solo. Liz is not only producing the project and playing guitar and washboard, she is handling all the vocals!
Liz Mandeville graduated from Colombia College Chicago, where she earned a BA in Music, while working full time as a Blues Diva. This April she performed in Basel, Switzerland's Blues Festival, and she has graced stages in 12 countries on 3 continents. She was inducted into the Chicago Blues Hall of Fame in 2013, has won numerous songwriting awards and was named to Alternative Root Magazine's List "40 Great Indie Musicians to Watch!"
