SCRANTON, PA, August 17, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Multi-channel platform ChannelApe has officially released an integration that will allow Shopify store owners to import tracking numbers from their drop-shippers, third party logistics or warehouses and automate the transfer of this tracking data to Shopify. This is done through an automated process that, otherwise, can be difficult and time-consuming for retailers. Prior to this integration, when a buyer requested shipping and/or tracking information from a retailer, this retailer would have to reach out to their original drop shipper or locate the tracking number in the supplier's report, and then manually send a reply to the customer. Now, once a Shopify retailer receives a daily report from their supplier or warehouse, they upload it to Dropbox and an email containing tracking information is automatically sent to every customer. Customers do not have to request this information, it's forwarded to them once the retailer has implemented the automation. Many consider this to be a substantial benefit and time-saver for retailers and customer alike.
This integration is an addition to a multichannel retail platform that already allows its clients to automate their inventory (via several types of data feeds including XML and CSV), expand their inventory through drop shippers/suppliers and open up new sales channels like Shopify, Amazon and WooCommerce. The company prides itself on its diverse client base and its customer-focused philosophy. "We create a lot of custom integrations for our customers," said CEO Mike Averto. "If they ask us to integrate a specific type of data feed just for them, we do it and we do it quickly. A lot of the other platforms out there don't do that."
When asked about the inspiration for this tracking integration, ChannelApe CSO Jason DePietropaolo stated, "We'd gotten the request from several of our Shopify-based clients. They found they were spending a lot of time tracking down shipping information and sending it to customers who requested it."
ChannelApe currently supports over one hundred disparate suppliers - across numerous verticals - including Europa Sports, SugarLips, D&H, Emerson Ecologics, Honest Green, Acusport, Creation Watches and more. ChannelApe can automate the distribution of tracking numbers from all of these suppliers out to Shopify storefronts and then onto the end customer.
Channel Ape, the young upstart out of Northeastern Pennsylvania, does not plan on stopping there. "We're working on new integrations every day," DePietropaolo. "There's been a lot of demand to open up more sales channels - Wal-Mart and eBay specifically. We plan to have those ready over the next few weeks."
