FREMONT, CA, August 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- One of the largest and most impressive trade shows in the Western Hemisphere for the pro-AV industry is InfoComm. This year's annual conference in Las Vegas was one for the record books as InfoComm 2016 attracted 211 new exhibitors and took up over 500,000 square feet of exhibition, training, and special events. The 38,833 attendees from this year's show broke the record by nearly 5% compared to the last InfoComm held in Las Vegas back in 2014. Also, there were more than 12,000 seats registered for training which more than doubled the participants from InfoComm 2015 in Orlando.
Jason McGraw, InfoComm International's Senior Vice President of Expositions said, "The AV industry's commitment to advancing technology and showcasing it at InfoComm has never been stronger." It's easy to see from a professional's perspective that the market is constantly changing, and Jason's statement is spot on.
InfoComm 2016 was huge for BZB Express, BZBtv, and their partner manufacturers who attended. Some of the key players that impressed were Key Digital, Atlona, tvONE, PureLink, Avenview, AJA, Aurora Multimedia, Altinex, MSE Audio, Hall Research, and Atomos. The BZBtv crew embarked on a mission to visit each of their stunning booths and film the latest in AV solutions. Navigating through the crowd and shooting at these jam-packed booths was a challenge, but they remained determined, focused, and willing. The following paragraphs highlight BZBtv's Best-of-Show product picks from their partner brands.
The first stop was Key Digital. Key Digital develops high-end systems for video and control applications including home cinema, broadcast, custom retailers, and entertainment venues. This year they introduced Enterprise AV, an HD over IP solution. Enterprise AV is an expandable HDMI over IP system that allows customization to cater to just about any installation. This system can be easily configured via PC software and can be controlled through Compass Control or any other 3rd party interface through an open API. Key Digital also offers a free iOS application that features a preset builder, full switching control, and more.
Next was Atlona, who BZB Express has been partnered with for almost a decade now. They presented their latest AV over IP solution OmniStream, which distributes 4K video, audio, and control over a conventional Gigabit network. It was designed for traditional AV distribution with the ability to limitlessly scale integration over IP networks. OmniStream features several industry-leading capabilities including redundant AV networks, high-density encoding, and decoding, secure content distribution, 4K video compression, network error resilience, low latency, plus audio distribution utilizing Dante technology.
Moving forward, tvONE exhibited their award-winning universal rack mounting system, ONErack. ONErack's inception is due to the challenge installers, and integrators face when installing small devices. It converts randomly sized, externally powered products from any brand into slide-in modules which can be fitted quickly and cleanly. This system is available in a 4RU, 5RU, and 6RU chassis that can hold up to 16 modules. It also has a built-in power supply with each voltage selector offering power at 5v, 7.5v, 9v, 12v, 13v, 18v, and 24v up to 35 watts. There is also a fan cover to keep the devices cool while they are powered.
A front-runner for InfoComm 2016's Best-of-Show award, Kramer seized the opportunity with Kramer Control. This innovation is reimagining control architecture in our new era of AV control. Kramer relocated all setup logic to the cloud which allows the software technologies to be leveraged. Kramer Control offers unmatched agility by providing users the ability to deploy control in any space. Complexities associated with AV control setup has been mitigated by incorporating a first-ever drag-and-drop interface. Also, the need for a dedicated analytics tool has been eliminated by featuring cloud-driven analytics powered by the Kramer network. Product Manager Brian Morris explains what else Kramer Control has to offer in this video link.
Lastly, Avenview had their video wall on full display. The HDM-AVXWALL is a modular chassis multi-input 4K video wall controller with video processors built-in. It includes a control software and supports SD, Full HD (1080p), WQXGA (2160 x 1600), and 4K. The HDM-AVXWALL can accept 4K signal formats with I/O board design for video connection including Dual Link DVI, DisplayPort, and HDMI. Screen modes are customized through the software and can function as a splitter, video converter, multiviewer, and matrix switcher.
