Kathy Parks Recognized by Worldwide Branding For Excellence in Financial Services

Kathy Parks first began her career as a teacher and principal, but realized that she wanted to be a business owner. The opportunity to become an agent presented itself and she jumped on it. As a sales leader with State Farm, Ms. Parks is responsible for assisting 33 State Farm agents in southern Maryland grow their businesses, help our customers and increase the State Farm market share. She is also charged with recruiting talented young people to join their sales force of the future. Ms. Parks works directly with her current agents, helping them maximize their opportunity, make money and serve their customers. " They are loved and respected in the communities they serve." Her greatest strength is in relationships and results. She helps others achieve their dreams and reach their full potential while at the same time doing what the company needs and wants. Her greatest accomplishment to date was helping 30 new agents open their own agencies.

Ms. Parks earned a Bachelor of Arts and has taken several courses to obtain her insurance credentials and financial services credentials, including the CLU, ChFC, LTCP and CASL. She has earned State Farm's Ambassador Club every year since coming to State Farm, and in 2015, she was given the C.R. Smith, Jr. Award from the Annapolis Yacht Club. This award recognizes an individual who best demonstrates the combination of sailing ability and contribution to sailing on the Chesapeake Bay. A member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Ms. Parks is also an honored member of The International Women's Leadership Association, recognized for her contribution to family, career and community. Ms. Parks names her professional goal to be leaving a legacy of talent by recruiting new agents and developing strong team members.
