Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria to Host Slide Piece Food Truck Takeover Event

    ST. LOUIS, MO, August 24, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria, a local Italian eatery, will be hosting a pizza takeover event with Slide Piece Food Truck from Mon., September 12 through Sat., September 17 at their location in Rock Hill.

Guests are invited to enjoy a special fried green tomato pizza over lunch and dinner during the span of one week. This pizza will feature fresh ingredients, including stracciatella, calabrese, pepperoncini, basil, balsamic, and arugula.

Slide Piece Food Truck is owned by Tommy Lee, brother of Katie Collier, owner of Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria. They came up with the idea of creating a fried green tomato pizza, which was inspired by Collier's famous caprese salad.

Slide Piece Food Truck has been in operation for nearly a year and makes stops around the Greater St. Louis region, including BJC Healthcare, Citygarden, office parks, city and county parks, military bases, and private events. They are the only food truck that provides gourmet sliders throughout the city, and they focus on providing a seasonal and sustainable product to various venues throughout St. Louis.

Katie's Pizza and Pasta Osteria is open every day at 11 a.m. and features Happy Hour specials from 3 to 5 p.m. and 9 to 10 p.m. Carry-outs are also available.
