Women of Distinction Magazine Selects LaSandra McKeever as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    BENTONVILLE, AR, August 24, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- LaSandra McKeever, Senior Planner of Import Demand for Walmart Stores, Inc., has been recognized with an Excellence Award as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. LaSandra McKeever will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016/2017.

Beginning her career in retail as a Department Manager for Walmart Stores, Inc. in 2002, LaSandra McKeever was eager to transfer into a new field that would offer her the ability to grow and promote from within. As Department Manager, she received numerous awards and recognitions from corporate leaders at local, regional, and divisional levels for her performance and operational excellence. In 2004, she was offered an entry level position at the corporate office in Bentonville, Arkansas. McKeever knew that climbing the corporate ladder was going to take hard work and determination. Her passion provided her the strength to move both she and her son from southern Indiana to northwest Arkansas and continue her career. During her tenure with the organization, she learned the ins and outs from Store Operations and Merchandising to Logistics and Supply Chain. Her opportunities with the retail giant continued to blossom over the last 15 years and today she is serving as a Senior Planner of Import Demand for their US stores.

"Working in retail is not easy," McKeever said. "It's not uncommon for me to put in 85-hour work weeks to get the job done, but I love what I do and the people I work alongside every day. It's been a blessing to be able to work for such a wonderful company with so much opportunity at my fingertips."

In McKeever's role, she is responsible for performing import analysis and forecasting corporate sales demand to maintain healthy inventory levels in warehouses and stores to drive sales through product flow and availability. She must also ensure that the product the customers' desires are always available to them at all times. Serving an average of 260 million customers weekly around the world, maintaining product flow and availability are at the forefront.

McKeever has been serving as the Director of Public Relations for the Moto Guzzi National Owners Club for nearly 10 years. It's a motorcycle club that is comprised of approximately 1,800 members who are predominantly men. She also serves as a Discussion Board Moderator for Wildguzzi.com, is active with various other professional organizations, and volunteers and participates for several events throughout the year that are near and dear to her heart.

McKeever and her family reside in Southwest Missouri and it's her husband to whom she credits for having taught her the patience, integrity, and discipline to find a job that doesn't feel like work.
