Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Naomi Marie "Omi" Preheim as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    ACTON, MA, August 30, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Naomi Marie "Omi" Preheim, Founder and Principal of OMI Consulting, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Naomi Marie "Omi" Preheim will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016/2017.

Leaving her professional life as a Business Services Manager for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Libraries behind her in 1984 to raise her young children, Naomi Marie "Omi" Preheim used that time to ponder her career goals. While studying with Margo Schmidt, a spiritual counselor, Preheim was fascinated by the practical and effective personal growth engendered by the subjects Schmidt taught: chakras, meditation, and channeling.

By 1990, Preheim had established OMI Consulting as Founder and Principal. Design studies at Boston Architectural Center led to an initial focus on architectural design using feng shui principles. Her business quickly became an umbrella for sharing what she had integrated about a multitude of metaphysical subjects grounded in a strong spiritual foundation. Working as a solo practitioner, Preheim also offers a range of workshops and courses reflective of her expertise.

"My role is to envision, design, and develop approaches to integrating a wide range of esoteric and metaphysical knowledge into accessible tools and trainings to assist others in becoming their best selves," Preheim explained. "In doing so, I draw upon three decades of intensive study, combined with the application of these methods."

Preheim follows her mission "to use her gifts and talents to empower others" as a Spiritual Counselor, Teacher, and Mentor. As a healing facilitator and teacher of energy healing, she supports release of dysfunction at physical, emotional, and mental levels by connecting clients to their body's innate healing ability. Preheim is an astrologer and teacher of astrology, an amazing navigational tool that she uses as a map for personal growth, psychological understanding, and intuitive perception. She is a feng shui practitioner, designer of feng shui architectural spaces, and teacher of feng shui, the ancient Chinese art and science grounded in spiritual theory that the "chi" life force flowing through all things and spaces profoundly influences human consciousness. She is a teacher of ancient mysteries, wisdom traditions, and meditation, which connect the individual with divine energy within. In addition, as a public speaker and teacher of communication skills, Preheim has been giving public lectures and classes in her varied areas of expertise as a way to connect with others in an expanding community.

Preheim holds a BA in American History from Carleton College and is expected to complete her MSPR in Mass Communication from Montana State University Billings by December 2016.
