Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Terry Snyder as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    WAUKEE, IA, September 14, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Terry Snyder, Photographer and Owner of Terry Snyder Photography, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Terry Snyder will be featured in an upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016/2017.

Thirty-two years ago Terry Snyder first picked up a camera to capture memories of her son playing t-ball at the age of six. Ever since that time, she began to develop a deep passion for the art, something that continues to inspire her with each new day, and in 1993, she established Terry Snyder Photography, based in Waukee, Iowa.

"It's a wonderful feeling to have been able to choose what I do for a living and love it, too," Snyder said, noting that her son is now 38-years-old. "A simple hobby of mine has turned into a wonderful business and I couldn't be happier. It's a true inspiration."

Specializing in sports, senior, business, wedding, family photos, and more, Snyder oversees every aspect of her business, including everything from cleaning and maintaining her studio to doing photo sessions. She also repairs old images, slides, and negatives for clients, make photo books, transfers videos to DVD's, transfers photos onto items for purchase, such as photo mugs, mousepads, shirts, purses, and more.

Snyder is very active in her community. She has been serving on the YMCA Board of Managers for the past 12 years, is a Waukee Kiwanis Founding Board Member, is a Former Board Member and current Ambassador for the Waukee Area Chamber of Commerce, is Past-President and Founder of Waukee Area Historical Society, is a Board Member of Waukee Crimes Stoppers, is a Board Member Waukee Leadership Institute, and is a Waukee Citizens Police Academy graduate. She's also the Past President of the former Waukee Lions Club. Snyder received numerous awards accolades for her volunteer work with United Way, March of Dimes, Relay for Life, and others, and in 2014 was named Waukee Citizen of the Year.
