NEW YORK, NY, September 19, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The films were selected from a diverse population of both domestic and international filmmakers whose work reflects the quality that OFF has grown to be known for. The 2016 Ocktober Film Festival will take place October 6th - 9th at the famous Symphony Theater located on the corner of 95th Street and Broadway in New York City.
Previous Special Guests have included, Harry Lennix, Hill Harper, Clifton Powel, Damon Dash, TV Executives and others. This year is no different, they have an impressive list of celebrities and industry leaders scheduled to join the festivities. "Keep making movies, it's going to be tough and it's going to be hard but it will be worth it," said Harry Lennix at the 2014 Ocktober Film Festival. Hill Harper, who attended last year, encouraged filmmakers to "continue to reach for the stars and to never stop dreaming."
The 2016 Ocktober Film Festival will kick off with an opening night which will include celebrities, filmmakers and enough memories to last a lifetime. OFF was created to empower, encourage and educate filmmakers and this all begins with the opening night networking event which is designed to help filmmakers promote their projects and broaden their resources within the film community.
