Renovation for Destination: Weddings At The New Kensington Hotel

    ANN ARBOR, MI, September 20, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In the midst of a multi-million-dollar renovation, The Kensington Hotel's wedding planner, Candice Belaire, is busy spreading the news about the newly renovated rooms, lobby, pool and patio, ceremonial garden, and restaurant.

Decorated with soft greys and splashes of maize and blue, the hotel has an "urban boutique" theme that showcases Ann Arbor's culture as a small town with a big city vibe. Brides, wedding planners, and wedding guests will also experience a new and improved culture of exceptional customer service at the hotel.

"As soon as you arrive, the front desk staff is going to offer you sparkling wine from Michigan," says Belaire. "From the time they check in to the time they leave, they're going to get great service."

Positive feedback has already been pouring in from couples who have recently hosted their receptions at The Kensington.

One bride was impressed with how attentive the staff were the day after the wedding reception. She was pleasantly surprised to find that the staff "had packed up things that we had left in the reception area to make sure nothing happened to them. We were also able to get back into rooms to double check things." The bride asked Belaire to "make sure [the hotel staff] all know how pleased we were with them. By the spring of 2017, the ballrooms will be updated to complete the hotel's renovation process. Decorated with new wallpaper and carpeting, the ballrooms will match the hotel's "urban boutique" theme. These updates will give wedding and event planners a more neutral and flexible backdrop for their own themes and designs.
